Waiting for One More- The Stewart Family
There is something especially sweet about photographing a family in the in-between—the days when everyone is still waiting to meet the little person who is already so deeply loved.
For Gabby and her family, this season is rooted in the things they hold closest: their love for Jesus, their love for one another, and the family they are building together. Their faith isn't simply something they speak about; it is woven into the way they love, encourage, and care for each other.
This maternity session was about so much more than documenting a growing belly. It was about preserving them in this exact season—the way Dad tucked in close, little girls twirled through the field, bubbles floated through the evening light, and tiny hands reached naturally for Mama.
We slowed down enough to let the girls play, laugh, explore, and simply be little while capturing the quieter moments in between. Those unscripted pieces of family life are often the ones that become the most precious with time.
Because someday this season will look completely different. Their family will grow, those little girls will get bigger, and the baby they were all waiting and praying for will no longer be tucked safely beneath Mama's heart.
But for one golden evening, this was them—faith-filled, growing, a little wild, incredibly tender, and beautifully theirs.

But the full credit for capturing them belongs to my photography-loving son, Jasper, who took these at age 11.
One evening I set out to take a few self-portraits with my youngest. Jasper who’s almost always right beside me during these little adventures, had that unmistakable spark in his eye. So I handed him the camera and told him to have at it.
He amazed me — framing, focus, and feeling — all in perfect harmony. These images are as much his story as they are mine, and a true reflection of how creativity runs deep in our family.
